Motorcycle Tires  The only thing between your bike and the road.  Don't take them for granite.  They need care like the rest of the bike.  A tire will not tell you when it is low on pressure.  It will how ever let you know that it is flat...  Riding on tires that are over or under inflated will not only put you in danger it will wear the tire to fast.  If you like to accelerate like a jack rabbit and stop on a dime I am sure the bike will handle it but it will put unnecessary ware on the rubber where it meats the road.  When you accelerate you increase the friction loads on the rear tire and when you decelerate you increase the friction load on the front tire.  With the increased load comes a cost...Rubber...Fuel... and possible EEEEGOOOO if you fall down and go BOOM.  I am sure we will all get a chuckle but will ask if you are ok when we catch our breath.  So Plan your stops and slow down gradually.  Accelerate moderately and smoothly, this way you will save fuel, rubber, and your ego.

Don't forget to check you tires often.

Psi should be checked when the tire is cold.

Tread on the tire must be greater than 2/32inch to pass a state inspection.  If your wear bars are showing at the same level as your tread you need new tires.

Piece of mind and that wonderful feeling of new tires is always a great feeling when you are out ridding on new uncharted roads.  Remember and ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Ride Safe and Have Lots of Fun.
